Hamilton is a sleeping giant. It’s time to unlock our potential.

Hamilton was built by working people. Generations of families have built their lives around our steel industry, manufacturing sector, small businesses, port, airport and local economy.

​

Today, the threat of tariffs is creating uncertainty for Hamilton workers and businesses. Families are already dealing with higher costs, and they deserve to know that their city stands with them.

​

Some of these decisions are made outside City Hall, but that doesn’t mean Hamilton should sit on the sidelines.

​

We need to stand up for our city, protect local jobs, attract investment and make Hamilton a place where businesses can grow.

​

We, the undersigned, call on the City of Hamilton to:

• Stand up for Hamilton workers and protect good-paying local jobs

• Cut unnecessary red tape and make it easier to invest, build and grow in Hamilton

• Work with local industry, labour and businesses to strengthen our economy

• Use Hamilton’s port, airport, location, colleges, university and research strengths to attract new investment

• Advocate strongly for Hamilton whenever outside decisions threaten our workers and local economy​

Hamilton has everything we need to succeed.

It’s time to stop overlooking our potential and start building on it.
